Since I went hang-gliding for the first time in 1987, I've had the aviation bug big time. It's absolutely fascinating to see how everything gets smaller from above - up in the skies is where I really relax.

The flight around the world in 2007 was a huge aviation challenge. The meteorological obstacles in the different climate zones were excellent preparation for a round trip of Africa - which will entail new experiences and above all confront us with different people and their cultures.
